Welcome

Hello, I’m Camille.

I’m a leadership advisor and mentor, a former CEO, and the author of Open When: Wisdom for the Leadership Moments that Matter.

At the core of my work is a simple belief: business, at its best, can be a force for good.

Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of leading—and learning alongside—teams and organizations through growth, change, and defining moments. What I’ve seen, time and again, is that when humanity and performance are not in tension but in partnership, something powerful takes hold. People thrive. The work becomes more meaningful. And organizations are able to endure.

Today, that belief shows up in my work with founders and executives—helping them lead with clarity and intention in the moments that matter most.

Personal Bio

I began my career as a founding member of Gongos, and over time grew into the roles of partner, COO, and ultimately CEO and owner. Leading the firm was one of the most defining chapters of my life. Together, we built a values-driven, high-performing organization, one that experienced steady growth, strong client and employee retention, and a reputation for helping Fortune 500 companies make more human-centered decisions. I stewarded the company through its successful sale to Human8, marking the close of a three-decade journey.

Following the acquisition, I served as Managing Partner, CEO, and Board Director of the combined global organization. That experience broadened my perspective on leadership: what it requires at scale, and how it evolves within a complex, globally integrated environment.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: when people, work, and clients are aligned in the right way, organizations create meaningful value for everyone they touch: employees, customers, and shareholders alike. I’ve also had the opportunity to serve on both corporate and nonprofit boards, which has only deepened my appreciation for the role thoughtful leadership plays in building cultures that can grow, adapt, and endure.

Today, I spend my time mentoring founders and executives of small to mid-sized firms. I’m drawn to the moments that shape leaders, the ones you don’t always see coming, and I bring both practical experience and perspective to help navigate them. I’ve always considered myself a student of leadership, grounded in the belief that business, at its best, can be a force for good. That belief is what inspired me to write Open When.

I love the outdoors and in my free time you’ll find me gardening, hiking, traveling with my family, and immersing in nature. I live in Southeast Michigan with my husband and our West Highland Terrier, and I’m a proud mom to three adult children.

Inspiration Behind the Book

I wrote Open When as the kind of resource I wished I had in some of my most defining leadership moments.

Part guide, part companion, it’s structured as a collection of letters -- each designed to meet you with a steady voice of perspective, grounded in empathy, and practical guidance in the moments that shape you most as a leader. My hope is to help leaders navigate uncertainty with greater calm, confidence, and intention while building their capability and the human-centered organizations they lead.
